Import Permits
A significant share of imports into Türkiye is subject to special permits that must be obtained from various authorities depending on the type, origin and intended use of the product. Missing or incorrect permits cause your goods to wait at customs and incur additional costs. UBC Consulting secures all the necessary permits from the right authority, with the right documents and on time, keeping your import process running smoothly.
We carry out and finalise, before İSGÜM, the Control Certificate procedures for products covered by the communiqué on the import of certain substances affecting occupational health and safety.
For imported mobile phones and devices to be usable in Türkiye, their IMEI numbers must be registered with the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK). We complete these registration procedures quickly and in full.
When importing certain products, a “surveillance document” must be obtained if the unit value falls below the threshold set by the Ministry of Trade. Likewise, products subject to quotas require an import licence. We prepare your application file in full and finalise the process so your import completes without disruption.
In the trade of strategic and controlled products, an import certificate (delivery verification certificate) is required to document that the goods are genuinely imported and will be used for the declared purpose. We carry out the preparation of this document and its approval by the relevant authority from start to finish.
Importing chemicals listed under the Chemical Weapons Convention is subject to special authorisation and strict oversight. We carry out the application, declaration and follow-up procedures before the relevant authority in full compliance with the regulations.
Importing used or refurbished machinery and equipment is subject to permission from the Ministry of Trade. We prepare an application that matches your machine’s technical specifications and the regulations, and manage the permit process on your behalf.
We obtain the permits and documents required for goods passing through Türkiye to another country to be transported under the transit regime, and ensure the transit process is conducted in line with customs legislation.
For the import of fuel and other petroleum products, we follow the compliance-letter procedures required from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) and prepare your application accurately and in full.
Importing pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics and controlled substances is subject to permission from the Ministry of Health. We prepare your application file and follow all permit procedures before the relevant authority on your behalf.
Incentives
The right incentive instruments lower costs and strengthen a company’s competitiveness. Yet benefiting from incentives depends on obtaining the right certificate, with the right justification and a complete file. UBC Consulting identifies the incentive certificate best suited to your operations and runs the application and follow-up end to end, maximising the advantages available to you.
It allows the raw materials and inputs used to manufacture products for export to be imported exempt from tax and customs obligations. We carry out the certificate application, commitment management and closure procedures in full, so exporters benefit fully from the cost advantage.
It provides relief in customs obligations when domestic goods are sent abroad to be processed, repaired or renewed and then re-imported. We obtain the certificate and follow the process on your behalf.
We manage the process of obtaining the incentive certificate that lets you benefit from advantages such as customs-duty exemption, VAT exemption, tax reduction and social-security premium support on your new investments. We determine the most suitable incentive structure for your investment’s region and sector and prepare your application.
For companies engaged in exports and foreign-currency-earning activities, obtaining this certificate — which provides exemption from various taxes, duties and fees — eases your company’s financial burden. We manage the application and commitment processes in full and secure the advantages provided.
Foreign Personnel Work Permits
Employing foreign nationals in Türkiye is a meticulous process that requires applications, document preparation and coordination between institutions. UBC Consulting handles work-permit applications with the relevant ministry from start to finish; we follow the initial application, extensions, occupation and position assessments and all required document procedures on your behalf. This lets you employ your qualified foreign personnel legally and seamlessly, while we take on the bureaucratic burden entirely.
Approvals & Certification
We are also by your side for the complementary approval and permit procedures that foreign trade requires. With the services below, we make sure you are never left short at any stage of the process.
We handle the preparation and approval of the certificate of origin and of movement documents such as A.TR and EUR.1 that evidence a product’s origin in export and import transactions. The correct origin document is critical for customs-duty advantages and international acceptance.
We carry out the process of obtaining the police permits required for the import and use of security-controlled products (explosive precursors, controlled chemicals, etc.) before the relevant units, in compliance with the regulations.
We follow, on your behalf, the procedures that require invoices, certificates and other documents used in international trade to be approved by the consulates of the relevant countries (consular attestation), ensuring your documents are valid abroad.
