BTK IMEI Registration
For mobile phones, tablets and other SIM-based devices to operate on mobile networks in Türkiye, their IMEI numbers must be registered with the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK). Unregistered devices cannot receive network service.

How the process works
Preparation
We organise the brand, model and IMEI data of the devices to be imported in line with registration requirements.
Application & notification
We prepare the registration application with BTK and submit the IMEI lists to the system in the format the authority requires.
Customs coordination
We run the registration in step with your import and customs timeline, so devices are ready for your sales schedule.
Confirmation & verification
We verify that the IMEIs are registered in the system and close the process only once devices operate on the network without issues.
What UBC Consulting provides
IMEI registration is a high-volume notification process with no room for error: a single inconsistency in the lists can hold up an entire shipment. We prepare and cross-check every notification to the authority’s standard.
We manage registration together with the other permit and customs steps of your import, from a single point of contact — by the time your devices reach the warehouse, the registration side is complete.
Drawing on more than 10,000 completed procedures, we anticipate requests for additional information and potential delay points, and plan around them in advance.
Frequently asked questions
Which devices are subject to IMEI registration?
All devices that use a SIM card and carry an electronic identity (IMEI): mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, vehicle-tracking units and similar IoT devices.
What happens if devices are not registered?
Devices with unregistered IMEIs cannot receive mobile network service in Türkiye and are blocked from use. Selling commercial devices before this risk is closed creates returns and reputational cost.
Is this the same as registering a phone brought from abroad?
No. Fee-based registration of personally imported phones is an individual procedure. We handle the bulk IMEI registration processes of commercial importers.
How long does it take?
With complete information, registration is completed quickly; we plan the process to fit your import schedule.
